Accessibility Partners is ‘marching’ down to San Diego next week to attend the Annual CSUN International Technology and Persons with Disabilities Conference. In its 29th year, this is the premier conference on the topic of people with disabilities and their intersection with technology.
Our bags are filled with Starbucks gift cards, candy, USB chargers, and kitschy toys to power up our PowerPoints. Eager to get your hands on some of our swag? This year, we are overjoyed that we are presenting two sessions: “Accessibility in Emerging Industries” and “Keeping Our Head in the Clouds: Assistive Technology’s Future”.
“Accessibility in Emerging Industries” will take place on Thursday, March 20, is an overview of the role that accessibility has to play in emerging industries not previously considered. We hope to demonstrate the longstanding benefits now and in the future.
Our second talk, “Keeping Our Head in the Clouds: Assistive Technology’s Future”, on Friday morning, will explain the current state of cloud computing and assistive technology, and discuss the methodology of virtualizing assistive technology.
With a shared foundation in innovation and inclusivity, our hope is that these sessions give those in the audience more than just knowledge (and aforementioned swag). We want to push them to consider accessibility in new places, and cement its position in the future of countless industries.
If you are attending the conference, please check us out! Accessibility Partners would be delighted to meet you and your colleagues during one of the breaks. If you can’t make it, we would be happy to attend some sessions in your place for a small fee. Reach out to Dana and we’ll bring CSUN to you!
